| The
Forder Originals studio was established in 1986 by Paul Forder, a
glassblower, who started by making belt buckles for his wife’s boutique.
Today the studio comprises of five craftsmen with a total of forty-two
years of experience amongst them.
The philosophy of the studio has stayed the same over the years. - Creating unique and original pieces inspired by Africa. - Using recycled material wherever possible, the copper is sourced from old water heaters and the brass from old Primus/kerosene stoves. - Ensuring that the products are truly handcrafted by only using the most basic of hand tools. With the result that every creation is unique and no two are ever the same. Each piece is sealed with a high quality non-toxic coating to prevent tarnishing.
